The Mausoleum is an elongated hexagonal roofless structure at 41metres at a North to North-East alignment and 30 metres West- to North-West alignment and was designed by Nicholas Revett and constructed by John Bastard the Younger of Blandford.
It was funded from the legacy of £500 left to Sir Francis by George Bubb Doddington, and was completed at a cost of £495 5s.3d and dedicated to the memory of its benefactor
